Project:NOW was a proud beneficiary of a year-long fundraising campaign culminating with the 3rd Annual CITY SUMMIT & GALA held on the weekend of the 90th Academy Awards. Honored guests and featured speakers included Oscar winning actor and philanthropist Matthew McConaughey, actor/investor Ashton Kutcher, best-selling author of Chicken Soup for the Soul, Jack Canfield, and entrepreneur Tai Lopez, among others.
Project:NOW was originally launched as a Commitment To Action at the 2014 Clinton Global Initiative with support by President Bill Clinton. Our first fundraiser – the Legacy Project Dinner – took place on the final day of CGI and featured President George W. Bush, who was also awarded the Legacy Award by the U.S. Dream Academy for his work to create a national platform for children of incarcerated parents through high quality mentoring programs during his administration. The evening was sponsored by Amway and hosted by The Good Wife’s Chris Noth.
